yesterday was a toxic monday
today, i'm making a new beginning...for real this time...

we stayed at McDo 'till the mall closed (...blame it on our kadramahan sa life and silly stories)...who were there? jared, shellie, and chayl (tenchu guys!!!)...we missed the rest of the gang, though...

whew!

yesterday was my friend Rizza's village's fiesta and getting there was the start of my 12-hour adventure.

i left the house with Shellie at 'round 6 last night. we met up with Jared and Isa at school, took a cab and headed up south of davao. the wheather then was a little windy, then it drizzled, and finally it poured...hard, real hard!

downtown davao was all fine despite the strong winds and heavy rain(and the fact that we had an umbrella opened INSIDE THE CAB 'coz the front seat window can't be closed...imagine how stupid we must've looked like...). as we neared Matina, the flood was 2feet high! and that was just the first part of what turned out to a crazy-taxi ride for the four of us. the two-feet high flood didn't bothered us (at first) but when i felt something that's "multilegged" touched my leg for a split sec and asked the driver whether his cab has roaches, Shellie and Isa instantly had their foot on the cab's backseat couch screaming "aaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!". shellie and Isa were still in a somewhat "sate of shock" (hehe) from the roach-thingee when a lightning struck and a very loud thunder followed though...the two of them, yes that's right, screamed "aaaaaahhh!!!!!!" again. then there was that flood which rose at about three feet high now. from inside, we could see that a CE NRO trash bin is now floating, a trisikad is half-way covered with water, and a number of cars got natirikan. plus, water started to come inside our ride! Now we're all freaking out! i mean, those cars that got stranded are far new-looking and bigger than the Kia Pride we're riding. this cab can't break down in the middle of this flooded sreet! i can take a flying roach but definitely not getting on a God-knows-what's-there flooded street and push a taxi to starting! so we were like "car, cooperate...kaya nato ni...ayaw sa og palong...puh-leeeeeeeaase..." and true enough, the cab made it through the flood...we got to Rizza's house alive!

and so we had our eating spree. 'twas a lot of fun with the unlimited food and the unlimited kwentuhan and biritan. when all our stomachs were filled, we then set ourselves for a movie marathon. the first flick was The Shutter. i already saw the movie before so i decided to take a nap while waiting for our second movie. then the second movie was on. t'was Brokeback Mountain. i, again, dozed off for the mean time since i've already seen that movie. then the third flick, A Lot Like Love, was played and on that too, i fell asleep. what was supposed to be a movie marathon turned out to ba a sleeping marathon for me. the last thing i was aware of was Rods' kwento 'bout those creapy experiances she has had. when we woke up this morning, we were soooo terrified to find out that it was almost 6 in the morning and the sun is already about to rise! ...we knew we'll be having kasaba for breakfast today.

so there we were, with faces that speaks of how we're oh so anxious about all the "kasaba" we'll be getting. but man, luck is on our side today! shellie just got 3 sentances of "kasaba", rodz got 1 sentance, and (drum roll please...) I got NONe!!! weeee!!!

ooops! there goes auntie Liloy...we'll be headi'n for Nabs na...ciao!

i was about to type in "yiPpeE!!!"

i was about to type in "yiPpeE!!!" on my blog after having finally finished my bacte project, commending myself of how i did well on it (i think), when kuya dino asked whether or not my project was done. i proudly said yes and handed him over the hard copy of it (halleluiah!). and so he started checki'n on it and found it...insufficient. my whole world came crashing down that very moment! gosh(!), i've worked for hours just to put all of those together..! i even went to a FARby internet cafe to have them all printed (printer is busted, as it has always been)...and, and googling is not THAT easy..!!!

but then i have to admit, things are not that bad after all ...kuya did helped me a lot on that project. that's why i can't aford contradict his views on my work. i can only try my very best to defend the things that i put there so that what he sez 'bout what i have understood from my readings (and googling..hehe) could be pooled-in together and be made into something better than what i thought was the best.

now, im with my MT Laws and Ethics. its not my idea of a fun subject but given the thought that i can still do better, i'm keeping my eyes wide open (thanks chocolate cake and water!) and my patience in tow so that i can make it through some few more hours.

wish me luck! ...i'll be submitting THE project tomorrow.

'been to nabs for the weekend (big smile on my face)

when i got there a little after lunch last saturday, my itinerary has been anything but filled!

*had my nails done (which is great 'coz Mama paid for it...hehe)
*went to Nanay's (my Lola) place
*got to catch up with each other and talked 'bout stuff
*went to see my friends
*went to Nanay's friend's birthday with Mama
*back again to my friends for some bbq
*got home at about 10pm
*watched tv with kuya Coy and my cousin Lean
*fell asleep while watching tv
*woke up after 20mins
*transfered to my parent's bedroom
*slept on the floor the whole night
*woke up for breakfast
*dad's pork shop and bistek are THE BEST!!!
*washed the dishes
*together with Mama, had my hair waxed
*fell asleep again with the wax still on my hair
*woke up after an hour
*rinsed the my hair
*watched tv (and eventually fell asleep...again.)
*woke up for lunch
*chatted with Papa and Mama
*took a bath
-it rained a little-
*went to Nanay's place with Mama
*whent back to the house
*rested for a while
*packed my overnight bag
*hailed a tricycle
*headed for the bus terminal
*met up with friends (aubs, kurto and kidong)
*also saw Krisna (my classmate from h.s.) there
*we chatted a little
*took the bus with aubs, kurto, and kidong
*stop over sa Tagum
*ate burger and fries (yum!)
*headed for davao
*got to davao at about 7:30pm, Sunday

(whew!*) 'twas some weekend i had, but i had F-U-N!!!

lazy me

i got bacteriology quiz tomorrow (and probadly another one for clin. chem.) but what can i do? i got lots of excuses just to skip the night's studython...LOL!
